About the Role
Sales Progressor
Independent Estate Agency | South West London
Salary: £40,000–£45,000
Working pattern: Monday to Friday
Location: Office-based
The Opportunity
A highly regarded independent estate agency in South West London is looking to appoint an experienced Sales Progressor to support its busy residential sales team.
This is a newly prioritised hire, created because the business has a substantial sales pipeline and wants to ensure that every transaction is progressed properly, proactively and with the level of client care the agency is known for.
The office is busy, high-volume and fast-paced, with a strong flow of new listings and a significant number of live sales requiring close management. The team is not short of stock or activity, the challenge is ensuring agreed sales are moved through to exchange and completion as efficiently as possible.
This is a brilliant role for someone who enjoys being at the heart of the transaction, keeping solicitors, buyers, sellers, mortgage brokers and internal colleagues aligned from offer accepted through to completion.
The Role
The Sales Progressor will take ownership of the post-sale process, ensuring agreed deals are managed with urgency, structure and commercial awareness.
You will work closely with the sales team, but this is a dedicated progression role requiring someone who can independently drive files forward, spot issues early, solve problems, and keep all parties updated.
The business is looking for someone who is confident, proactive and capable of bringing calm control to a busy sales environment.
This is an office-based role, Monday to Friday, and would suit someone who enjoys being physically present with the team, close to the negotiators, and able to pick things up quickly as issues arise.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Managing sales from offer accepted through to exchange and completion
- Liaising with buyers, sellers, solicitors, mortgage brokers, surveyors and internal colleagues
- Keeping all parties regularly updated throughout the transaction
- Chasing outstanding paperwork, enquiries, mortgage offers, searches and contract packs
- Identifying potential risks or delays early and escalating where needed
- Helping reduce fall-through risk by keeping momentum in each chain
- Supporting negotiators by giving clear visibility on file progress
- Maintaining accurate records and notes across the sales pipeline
- Managing a high-volume caseload in a structured and organised way
- Delivering a high standard of client care throughout the process
About You
The ideal candidate will already have experience in residential sales progression, either within an estate agency, conveyancing environment, or a property-related role where they have managed transactions through to completion.
You will need to be confident, resilient and able to operate effectively in a busy office with high standards and strong personalities.
You should be someone who naturally takes ownership, communicates clearly, and does not wait to be chased.
The right person will be:
- Experienced in sales progression or residential property transactions
- Highly organised and able to manage a busy pipeline
- Confident dealing with solicitors, buyers and sellers
- Calm under pressure
- Proactive rather than reactive
- Commercially aware and solutions-focused
- Strong on detail and follow-up
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
- Clear, professional and persistent in communication
- Able to build trust quickly with clients and colleagues
This role would suit someone who enjoys the detail and pace of getting deals through, but who also understands the emotional side of property transactions and can keep clients reassured throughout.
The Environment
This is a busy, ambitious and service-led independent agency. The team is experienced, determined and commercially active, with a strong local reputation.
It is not a slow-paced or heavily corporate environment. The successful person will need to be comfortable working closely with a high-performing sales team and bringing structure to a large, active pipeline.
The culture is supportive, but the office is busy, so the business needs someone who can come in with experience and add value quickly. The transcript describes the team as a good group with strong characters, high workload, and limited capacity for close hand-holding.

- £40,000–£45,000 salary
- Monday to Friday
- Office-based role
- South West London location
