How It Started

You know how it is when you keep having the same conversation, night after night, right? 

Maybe with someone else – or maybe it’s just a conversation you keep having with yourself.  

But you know that you’re having it because you’ve got an idea that you just can’t shake – and it gnaws away at you, because you know it is what you need to do. 

It is probably what led to you doing what you do now. 

It is definitely what happened to us. 

We're Nicola and Paul Broomham – wife and husband, and now co-founders of 2point0Group. 

We've spent more than two decades inside the property industry: building estate and letting agencies, leading teams, recruiting, consulting, and also sitting at the negotiating table when it came to an exit. We’ve done it for ourselves and we’ve done it for others – coaching and mentoring people through the moments that truly decide the future of careers and businesses.  

2point0 Group was born because we kept having the same conversation – a conversation about what gets lost when people become numbers on a spreadsheet.  

We decided we wanted to fix that, so we set out to do it.  

To build something that puts the humanity back into the business lifecycle. 

Our Story

Nicola built and sold her own recruitment business before she retrained as a leadership coach. She's made the call to walk away from something she created and grafted at, and so knows what that decision actually means. 

But she still kept coming back to her two passions: talent acquisition through focused, strategic recruitment and headhunting, and helping property professionals grow their businesses. 

Paul has led large, multi-branch estate agency networks through growth, restructuring and acquisition – from inside the business, not as an outside advisor watching it happen. 

His skill is in the detail – almost in the minutiae – whilst still being able to hold the big picture. We don't always agree. We come at problems from different angles – commercial and human, structure and instinct – and that's deliberate.  

Because almost always, the businesses we work with need a bit of both. 

And now our story has moved on to a new chapter. What we founded as a couple, we’re growing as a throuple – but in our case, three’s company, not a crowd.

Joel Osbourne, joined us as partner in September 2026 to co-found 2point0: Realise – our business sales mergers and acquisitions arm. He brings a wealth of M&A experience gained at national industry giants into our fold.  A logical progression in the evolution of 2.0.

Why 2.0?

The name 2.0 is about evolution — yours and ours.

The name is about evolution – yours and ours. Whether that's through smarter recruitment, clearer strategy, or stronger leadership, our goal is to help you build a sharper, stronger version of the business you already have. 

But it's personal too. 

This is Nicola's second recruitment business – and built deliberately differently the second time round. Tighter, stronger, more focused and prioritising slightly different things – especially around the strategy of recruitment. 

And when she sold her first business, she also sold the right to put her own name back over the door.  

Of course, people kept asking when "[Surname] Recruitment 2.0" was coming!   

Well, we couldn't use the name, but we kept coming back to that idea. 2.0. Progress, not repetition. Improvement, not rebirth. 

And we realised, that within the lifecycles of the businesses that we want to work with, that is what matters to them; getting better, moving forward. It isn’t about firefighting – it is about growing, strategically, and usually with a destination in mind.

We can now offer something unique to the industry: a full business lifecycle service, from start-up, through growth, to the business sale that allows estate and letting agency owners to sail into the sunset with what they truly deserve for all the hard work and investment.
